The Manx Rainbow Association started as an idea in 2010 and grew into the IoMLGBT group that made solid connections and created the foundation on which the MRA is built today. Late in 2011, the IoMLGBT group was wound-up owing to unforeseen circumstances.

Whilst this was unfortunate, Lee Clarke-Vorster and Nathan Rogers remained passionate about giving the Isle of Man LGBT community a voice.  A year passed by where existing relationships were firmed-up and new relationships forged and in 2012 The Manx Rainbow Association came to fruition. Although it could have gone by many names and until 2013 it did.

On the 5th March 2014, we were incorporated as a Limited Company by guarantee.  Once the Incorporation Certificate was filed we proceeded to submit the necessary paperwork to become a registered charity in the Isle of Man and on the <> (need a date here) 2014 we were granted licence to hold ourselves as a charitable entity.

None of this would have been possible if not for the support both Lee and Nathan received from those who shared in their passion and dedication over the past years and Lee and Nathan cannot thank them enough.

At the first AGM on the 23rd March 2014, we installed a committee to oversee future events, plans and policies.
